There are plenty of facts regarding the field of medical transcription if one wants to pursue it as a career. Finding the right training institute is one of the foremost things to get done. There are many online training schedules too that offer brilliant courses in the field.

The profession requires the candidates to develop certain skills like a good typing speed, developed listening comprehension and great command over English. Efficient training programs are good enough to develop most of these skills.

There are a whole lot of requirements, skills and abilities that one needs to possess in order to be a successful medical transcriptionist. This includes knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes, anatomy and physiology. Also, the person should have above average spelling, grammar, communication and memory skills. Training and education in the field can be obtained through a series of certificate and diploma programs and even through on the job training in some hospitals. Working as a medical transcriptionist leads the person to master medical terminology and editing. Although the certification is not mandatory, individuals seek registration/certification for personal and professional reasons. Merely passing out of a diploma does not entitle the person to be a Certified Medical Transcriptionist. This credential is awarded by passing a certification examination conducted by the Association of Healthcare Documentation Integrity or the AHDI. This association also maintains a list of certified medical transcription schools.

There is a lot of debate on which training program is best suited for the job as there are a great assortment of schedules available. Some have great online courses while others operate in community colleges and in high schools. Whatever the course is, a highly knowledgeable MT is highly valued in the profession.

After the completion of the training program is the job hunt. A skilled person has no difficulty in finding himself a job. Many of the transcriptionists set up home offices rather than being employed by a physician or a clinic. Since this job doesn't require one-on-one contact, outsourcing is also coming up in the transcription business in a big way. Hence, people get the option of working at their homes in comfort.

5. Eye for materials - the textile market in India is so vast that you will be able to find a lot of different materials. Understanding the material and making it part of your work is important.

6. Sewing skills - not all the work will be done by others. You will need to know the basics to give shape to the garment.

7. Understanding the current trends - fashion industry is changing every day. What is in vogue today will not be so tomorrow.

8. Team player - being a fashion designer involves interacting with various people to give shape to the garment. One has to be a good team player to be able to get the work done.

A fashion designer too needs to have certain qualities which will help them carve a niche in the industry. With creativity and adventure being the main theme of the career, it is important for a person to have a few qualities and also a fair judgment of his/her works to succeed in this industry. Also, a fashion designer must be keen to create a new trend and be bold enough to do it. Ideas in the head are not going to reach people, unless it is being showcased by the person. Therefore, to strive at becoming one of the best, the designs must reach the people and be accepted by them as a trend changer.
